My name is Gwendolyn Lee Withers, daughter of Terri Withers. Currently I am a Senior at Ventura High School. I have been president of my school’s Black Student Union for three years and I am involved in my school’s Career Center Ambassador program. I am also leading the charge of revamping our Cougar Forum where students can present their concerns to the administration. As an active member of the VHS drama department, I will be part of the crew for the Fall play. Then, I am planning to stage manage both the Winter showcase and the Spring Musical. I am a straight-A student in numerous Honors, AP, and college classes. I am a member of both the National Honors Society (NHS) and the California Scholarship Federation (CSF). Outside of school activities, I enjoy reading and writing in my free time.
