My name is Gabrielle Chapman, and I am currently a senior at Adolfo Camarillo High School. I am an active member of my school’s Black Student Union (BSU) as well as the Music and Theater Club, both of which allow me to celebrate culture, creativity, and expression. I have the privilege of serving as the Vice President of the Navy Child and Youth Program (CYP) Teen Center at Naval Base Ventura County, Catalina Heights, where I help organize activities that inspire leadership, service, and community building among my peers. I also assist with the children’s ministry at the church I attend, Evangelistic Missionary Baptist Church. Beyond these roles, I also volunteer with the office of Navy-Marine Corps Relief Society (NMCRS) for Naval Base Ventura County, CA, where I have served to date, over 89 volunteer hours, gaining valuable experience in service, responsibility, and teamwork.

I am deeply honored to be selected as a 2025–2026 Debutante contestant for the 20th Century Onyx Club, Inc., a non-profit 501 (c) (3) organization celebrating more than six decades of uplifting young women in the pursuit of excellence, leadership, and higher education. As part of this legacy, I join a distinguished sisterhood of women who embody grace, purpose, and resilience, and who continue to make meaningful contributions within their communities and beyond.
As we are preparing to celebrate 61 years of the Onyx Club’s legacy, I am reaching out to ask for your support in my journey to the Debutante Ball by completing the online process to me no later than December 15, 2025. You can support by attending the Debutante on Saturday, February 28, 2026, at Zachari Dunes on Mandalay Beach in Oxnard, California, placing a Program Advertisement by sharing a message or promoting your business to a wide audience in the official Debutante Ball program, and/or by contributing to a Memorial Scholarship honoring a cherished individual while creating educational opportunities for youth in Ventura County, California.
