The 20th Century Onyx Club is a non-profit, civic, and social organization that provides young African American women with the opportunities for growth to development in all aspects of self and life. Since hosting their first Debutante Ball in 1963 where eight young women introduced to the community the Onyx Club has continued to empower generations of women. Many have gone on to make remarkable contributions to society. I am deeply honored to follow in their footsteps. Through this program, we learn essential qualities such as leadership, respect, community service, and the importance of education. The organization’s primary focus is to provide scholarships for young people, like me who are pursuing higher education. My personal goal is to attend college and major in Business, as I believe will prepare me for a future career in real estate and public relations management.

At Moorpark High, I am co-captain of the varsity track team, where our 4×1 relay team proudly broke the school record during my junior year. Additionally, I have received both the Rising Star Award and the Musketeer Award in track –  achievements of which I am proud. I am also President of the Black Student Union. Beyond school, I work as a KidZone Attendant at Westlake Church, where I enjoy helping care for children and supporting my church community.

On Saturday, February 28, 2026, the 20th Century Onyx Club will host its Annual Debutante Ball at Zachari Dunes on Mandalay Beach by Hilton in Oxnard, California. I am striving to be crowned “Miss Debutante 2026” and I would be deeply grateful for your support in helping me reach this goal. There are several ways to contribute, including purchasing a ticket to the Debutante Ball, making a direct donation, or submitting a business advertisement for the event’s program booklet.
